This is a great 14oz. Coffee Mug. With the Lid on it will keep coffee hot for several hours and warm for many more. You will love it.

“Average Product overall – but superior heat/cold retention” 2009-06-15
By Anil R. Pillai (St.Louis, MO USA)
Pros:

1. Excellent heat retention – the coffee remains hot/very warm for a long time, sometimes even with the lid off.

2. Strong sturdy construction.

Cons:

1. The LID! For crying out loud, design something that doesn’t pop off with a simple touch at times. And for some reason, the coffee stopped flowing through the lid after the first week – and it seemed to indicate a lack of air flowing in, creating a suction inside the lid that only trickles the coffee out. So i resorted to drinking the coffee faster, with the lid off at my desk. Which brings me to the overall design.

2. BALANCE! Stability! This one is not. It is tall and narrower at the vbase and with a handle at the top that is heavy enough to lift a barrel of coffee. And of course that leads to a very top heavy coffee mug that would tip over with the merest touch in the wrong place, when it is about a quarter full. Completely unacceptable design. (In fact I decided to fire off this review because it just tipped over and spilled all over my bloody desk at work.)

3. So overall, a good product spoiled by shoddy lid and terrible balance.

“Great mug, but….” 2009-05-15
By Jamie Jamison
This is a great mug, and I use it every day. The only thing that kept it from being 5 star is that the sliding cover when pressed all the way open doesn’t allow air in properly and restricts the flow of the drink (you have to pull it back a little for it to flow perfectly), and the fit of the lid is a little loose. I have had a few occasions where I have been resting my thumb on the rim of the cup as I hold the handle, and the lid pops out, causing me to spill.

This mug does keep coffee hot for a good length of time. I’m a coffee drinker all day at work, and I can pour a cup and come back to it an hour later, and it is still better than just luke warm.

“SOME LIKE IT HOT, WITH THIS CUP THAT’S WHAT YOU GOT!” 2009-03-18

I searched everywhere for a coffee mug to keep my coffee hot and that didn’t have a plastic lining. Well I found one of these in Target and decided to give it a try. I LOVE IT!! I came right to AMAZON, found them and bought 2 more. If you like your coffee hot you have got to try this mug. Five hours later and it’s still warm. You can drink the whole cup before it even thinks about getting warm. PROMISE!!

“Not bad, but could be better” 2009-03-17

This travel mug fulfills its primary function: It keeps my coffee nice hot for hours, even on the sub-zero mornings I drive to work. On those days, I fill it with hot water and let it sit a while before I put the coffee in.

The mug is well made and the design is attractive. The handle is comfortable and the indentations on the side help to hold the mug without using the handle. I like the flip-top design to open and close the drinking opening.

As others have noted, the lid is definitely not leak proof. In fact, when the mug is nearly full, a slight jostle will cause liquid to seep out. Also, it’s not that difficult to accidentally dislodge the lid. (Hint: Do not hold the handle with your thumb on the lid edge. The lid can pop off unexpectedly.)

A tall mug with a narrow base works well in a car equipped with cup holders, but isn’t so great on the desk at work. It’s quite easy to accidentally knock over, and with the lid being a seive and easy to dislodge, a bad spill is almost guaranteed.

I have a Keurig B60 single-serving coffee maker. This mug just barely fits under it, but is useable as long as I take care when removing it after brewing the coffee. I fill it twice using the 7.5 oz. setting, which is just about perfect.

While I like this travel mug, I’m going to continue looking for something better.
